Meet Our Staff

"We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing"

*George Bernard Shaw*

Anne King
Owner

With a Forces background, I have 5 children and over 35 years in childcare, although it often seems like the other way round!

I started working with  KangaRhu in 2005 and took over the business and its management in 2010. With a BA in Childhood studies, I firmly believe children should be allowed to be children with all that encompasses, including doing all the things you'd rather they didn't do at home, for example make mud soup and paint their feet to see what patterns they can make!

My motto is 'You learn something new every day' and that goes for both staff

and children.

Following a career in the police force, I have 4 children and have been married to a Submariner for over 25 years.

Having previously worked in a creche for 3 years I joined Kangarhu in 2008 and have an SVQ3 in Childcare.

I enjoy all things 'crafty', love to bake, but my favourite activity is anything to do with 'The Gruffalo'

Hello I'm Hayley, I am qualified with and NVQ and has been working in childcare for 17 years. I have two little boys and so a lot of my hobbies revolve around them.

I enjoy walking the dog through the woods and along the beach, family days out, reading and movies. I enjoy arts & crafts and believe the messier you get the more fun you are having!

Play Practitioner

Since I finished high school, I started to work towards my SVQ3 as I have always wanted to work in childcare.

I joined KangaRhu in 2017 as a Volunteer before completing my qualification and joining full time.

My favourite activities involve anything with paints or glitter, I also enjoy outdoor play and taking class walks to the park and football pitches.
