Owner
With a Forces background, I have 5 children and over 35 years experience in childcare, although it often seems like the other way round!
I started working with KangaRhu in 2005 and took over the business and its management in 2010. With a BA in Childhood studies, I firmly believe children should be allowed to be children with all that encompasses, including doing all the things you'd rather they didn't do at home, for example make mud soup and paint their feet to see what patterns they can make!
My motto is 'You learn something new every day' and that goes for both staff
and children.
Ciaran Bliss
I began my career working as bank staff in a local Nursery and then full time at a Family Centre and Nursery for over 2 years where I gained my relevant qualifications. I have predominantly worked with children aged between 2 and 5, indoor in preschool and outdoor in the forest school. During my time as a practitioner, I have gained many skills including Makaton and working with a Sensory based Curriculum. I am currently studying for my BA in Childcare.
